Dispatch from Mission Control: Coming to a Galaxy in Austin Again

After an illustrious inaugural year, Other Worlds Austin will return in December 2015, bringing the best in SciFi from around the world to Austin, TX.  Last year’s festival included the World Premiere of feature APT 3D, the World Premiere of a new cut of documentary BACKYARD BLOCKBUSTERS, and the World Premiere of mini-feature THE SUN DEVIL AND THE PRINCESS.  We were also proud to serve as the US Premiere of Hungarian thriller AURA, Dutch drama CAPSULE, and the cloning closing night hit THE RECONSTRUCTION OF WILLIAM ZERO.  The rest of our features were all Texas Premieres, including the Audience Award winner TIME LAPSE, which played over 60 festivals last year, but none in Texas until OWA.  Rounding out the first year of films were three audience-thrilling shorts programs, with filmmakers from all around the globe exploring every corner of the SciFi genre.

Our programmers are already hard at work finding the best films to bring to #OWA2015 which will be back at the Galaxy Highland 10 on December 3-5 (Thursday-Saturday).  We can’t tell you much about this year, but we can tell you that if you want the cheapest possible price on badges, make sure you are on our badge interest list for 2015.  If you purchased your own wristband last year – you are already on that list.  We once again intend to have 10 screenings, and $42 will get you a guaranteed seat for each one.

Oh, and our drones intercepted a message from Mission Control that there is a possible irregularity in the matrix that may allow for a few loyal star warriors to secure badges early.  Something about flying clockwise through a wormhole, or maybe it was just watching your inboxes for a time sensitive communication.
