Boy 7 isn’t a traditional, large-scale dystopia that impacts an entire country. Instead, it’s a micro-dystopia (a word I’ve never said or used before) in the form of a juvenile delinquent program unlike any in modern existence.
While the festival is still in its infancy, having started just last year, it looks to fill a gap in Austin’s lineup of cool fests that bring interesting films to Texas.
Other Worlds Austin, the city’s only science fiction film festival, started Thursday night at the Galaxy Highland. It continues Friday and Saturday.
